Age is just a number right?

Posted on August 17 2017

Pole Dancing is for everyone (woohoo!). In the past 10 years there has been a rise both men and women of all shapes and ages taking up pole, shows the pole community's diversity and that it is forever expanding.

Meet the badass pole dancers that prove life doesn't stop after 50 and pole has no age!

Greta Pontarelli, aged 64

Greta began pole dancing at the age of 59, following her diagnosis of osteoporosis, a condition that destroys bone density. Three years later her strengthening soon became a talent and in 2014, she was crowned the winner in the Pole Sports World Championships! Today, Greta remains internationally ranked and travels across the world to compete.

She stated 'When I first started, I looked around and wondered where are all the older people?'.

“Many start to think that even at 40 or 45, it's already too late to begin something new, to find a new dream. I am glad I am able to convince them that it's never too late to realize your dream and be happy.”

Watch Greta in action here:

Allan Reinikka, aged 56

Photographer Allan from Queensland, started pole dancing 5 years ago after being inspired from photographing a pole shoot. Now addicted to the sport, Allan proudly states that many people are shocked but impressed by what he does.

Allan admits that '‘I guess most people see the beard and expect to see me on the back of a bike,’

However, Allan, like Greta states '‘I think everyone should give pole a go. Gender or age shouldn’t be a barrier’.

Arloa Reston, aged 50

Based in Los Angeles, Arloa has been pole dancing for 6 years. With a sporty background of gymnastics, dance, cheerleading and tennis, at the age of 44 Arloa wanted to make a career out of pole dancing.

Three year into her pole dancing career, she was crowned 2014 Pacific Pole Championship Masters Entertainment Winner. Watch her winning routine below!

The ED caused by that surgery can be either temporary or permanent. Thus, when the muscles within the penile area are relaxed, more blood will enter the penis and a bigger harder erection will occur.
